2018 Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program (SSCCPP)
"The Stanford Summer Community College Premedical Program (SSCCPP) is a six-week residential summer program targeting community college students in the San Francisco Bay and surrounding region who are considering careers in medicine. The program provides premedical development and support, resources, and exposure to medicine and health. Participants will attend sessions focused on health disparities, successful preparation for the medical school application process, and postsecondary and graduate/professional school financing. This residential program will introduce participants to the Stanford School of Medicine network through potential research opportunities, interactions with students, faculty, and staff, and professional development experiences." The S F Johnson Foundation (formerly known as The Association of African American Single Mothers) is looking for volunteers in all areas for their programs that they provide throughout the day. Primarily, they are looking for student volunteers to tutor in different fields. They are located in Carmichael near the Post Office. They are flexible and can work with your schedule.
