Dr. Waite specializes in Sports Medicine, with an emphasis on nonsurgical physical medicine and rehabilitation of sports, orthopedic and neurologic issues. In addition to seeing patients and teaching residents at UC Davis hospital and clinics, she is one of the team physicians for the WNBA Sacramento Monarchs and has travelled internationally as a physician for the US Track and Field team. Dr. Waite also serves as the assistant medical director and on-site physician for ultra-endurance running races all over the world. She has an interest in research fro sports performance and endurance of athletics in severe conditions.

She has an enthusiastic approach to education, patient care, and career planning. Dr. Waite believes wholeheartedly that one can pursue a career in medicine, and even enjoy journey, by being empowered to think outside the box.
