Bill McDavid, M.D.
President and Medical Director, Flying Samaritans

Dr. McDavid attended Sacramento City College and UC Davis for his undergraduate degree, and the George Washington University School of Medicine for his medical degree. He is board certified in Anesthesiology and worked at the Sutter Memorial Hospital providing anesthesia for open heart surgery. He returned to Placerville and practiced since June 2000. He has served as a physician for Aviation Medical Exams. Dr. McDavid has been ctive in Flying Samaritans' monthly flights to San Quetin, Baja California, and Mexico to provide medical and dental care to the locals for the past 20 years. He is currently the Medical Director and the Director of the Flying Samaritans in California.

Flying Samaritans is a volunteer organization which operates free medical clinics in Baja California and Mexico. Doctors, dentists, nurses, translators, students, pilots and support personnel drive or fly to clinics in private aircraft to help the underserved communities in Mexico who don't have access to medical care.
