UCSF School of Medicine was founded in 1864 and it has constantly ranked among the top hospital medical schools. There are 10 campus systems that are dedicated to the health science. UCSF has consistently been a leader in biomedical research and they continue to collaborate with other disciplines.

How to attend? We are now selling tickets.

Cost: $20
Tickets sold are limited to 25 students. [First come, first served]

Date of Visit: January 9th 2012
Rules:
We expect you to be an adult and behave like one. You are being invited to their classrooms, and into their daily lives. Furthermore, we expect you to show them respect and gratitude for opening up their classrooms and lives to you. You will be sitting in classrooms with them. We expect you to pay attention, not sleep, not do homework, act bored, or draw attention to yourself. If you are unable to follow the above statements, we ask that you not come. You will ruin the chances of us ever going back. We will also ask you to leave the premises if this occurs.
The policies above are NOT open for discussion.
We are also sorry that we have to take the time to write this, because in the past, people have acted this way on our trips, and we have not been invited back.

Travel:
There will be a carpool leaving American River College at 5:30 am to go to the UCSF School of Medicine, for all those who wish to save on travel costs. If you wish to travel on your own you may, but understand that we will meet at pre-designated area outside the UCSF School of medicine before starting the tour. At this time we will be taking role and if you are not there you will not be allowed to join the tour.

Dress Code:
We expect you to dress appropriately and professionally. You don’t need to wear a suit, but please wear something appropriate and professional. No t-shirts, jeans, or clothes with holes in them. You are their guests, and the way you dress yourself shows how you appreciate them and how you represent us.
Here is an example:
Men: Slacks (no jeans), button up shirt, shoes (no sandals)
Women: Slacks or Skirt, shirt, blouse, and shoes (no sandals).
