Dr. Richards is a world renowned expert in Emergency Medicine with specialization in Trauma and Critical Resuscitation. His research interests include ultrasound, methamphetamine abuse, alcoholism and overcrowding in emergency departments. He is passionate about teaching students and frequently speaks around the world about advancement of Emergency Medicine. He has been on the admission committee at UC Davis Medical School since when he was a first year Medical Student, and has stayed active throughout his training and career; he is currently the Chair of the Selection Committee and has invaluable knowledge of the admissions process from a faculty perspective.
