Med School Trips

Going through the demanding pre-med classes in college becomes a little bit easier if you know where you’re going… That’s why AMSA ARC once a semester takes its members and other students for a grand tour of two of the country’s leading medical schools – Stanford and UCSF. This two-day activity is a great inspirational trip!

Some of the AMSA ARC officers and students who attended the med school trips in the past have written up short essays about their experience:

Mentorship Night with UC Davis Medical School Students

Once every regular semester AMSA ARC members and other students meet up with UCD med students for dinner and gossiping… Well, maybe not gossiping. Every undergrad is assigned a medical student, who will advise them in their road to medical school. Current med students had to go through what we are doing now and can provide pre-meds with invaluable information!

Regional Conferences

AMSA ARC officers and members, as well as other students, frequently travel to pre-medical and medicine-related conferences in Northern California, most notably the SUMMA conference in Stanford, and the DDLM (Dia De Los Muertos) event in Davis. Such outings allow for listening to influential speakers involved in medical school admissions and education, as well as for mingling with other pre-meds in the community.
